Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release (SMR) technique. It’s like giving yourself a mini-massage. It can make sore or tight muscles relax, help with swelling, and increases your joint range of motion, aids in muscle recovery. It’s a great thing to do in the morning, at night, or before and after you exercise. In today’s class, we’re going to focus on releasing your upper body. You’ll start from your neck and move down to your back, lats and pecs and your lateral flexors; your obliques and lower back muscles. These are my go-to moves when I’m feeling tight, stressed, or even tired. Pay attention to how you breathe before and after the class. Let’s have some fun!
