0935 Standing Intermediate Class

Today we’re taking Pilates principles off the mat and into functional, upright movements. This work translates directly to how you move through your day. I’ll demonstrate this session with Elena as the body so you can see the subtle shifts that make standing work so effective. Let’s begin.

This session is part of Pilates with Tash Barnard: Five Essential Sessions Series

These Five Essential Sessions give you exactly that. We have foundational mat work for those building their Pilates practice, intelligent progressions for intermediate movers, standing work to build functional strength, and dynamic stretching that feels incredible.

In a completely different–but equally wonderful–register from Mira’s vibe, this set of lessons with Tash is really compelling. Kudos also to Elena and Priscilla!

Even though this is short, the leg burn was in-tense! The single leg spine flexion and extension sequence, moving the leg front, to the side, and back gave deep burn because keeping balanced used a lot of muscles. But the ultimate Finisher was Froggies! Elena was able to do the 30 without breaks! I got through them but had to take breaks. I loved this, I’ve done it twice in recent days. Thank u!
