Pilates for Shoulder Tension

This 20-minute pilates for shoulder tension class goes somewhere static stretching can’t.

If you’ve been stretching your shoulders and the tension keeps coming back, the problem isn’t your flexibility — it’s that stretching alone can’t reach the connective tissue holding the pattern. We’re using flowing, rhythmic movement to work with your fascia and release what stretching misses.

No equipment needed — just 20 minutes and a little space. Especially helpful if you spend long hours at a desk or carry stress in your upper body.

Very nice. I had to be extremely careful due to hypermobility and chronic subluxation of my right shoulder?

    1. Well done for knowing your body so well!
You can absolutely do this class, just move with great care and caution throughout. With hypermobility and subluxation, the key is to minimise your range of motion in the shoulder area rather than moving into your full range. Less is more — be mindful with the muscles activation and control, work within a comfortable, controlled range and let the gentle rhythm of the movement do the work.

Listen to your body throughout and take what feels good.

Great shoulder class that truly unwound any tightness or tension. Thank you, Mira for these shorter, targeted classes that are very therapeutic.

Loved this short shoulder class. I had rotator cuff surgery last year and I found this class to be extremely helpful in loosening up tight areas of my shoulders. I too, love these shorter targeted classes, loved the Somatic one too. Many thanks Mira.
