Breath Work

This breathwork class teaches you two powerful techniques to transform your breathing. First is diaphragmatic breathing – place one hand on your chest, another on your belly, then focus on expanding that belly into your hand rather than lifting your chest. This engages your actual breathing muscle (the diaphragm) instead of creating tension in your throat and shoulders. The second technique is a 12-count breathing pattern: inhale for 12 counts (6 counts belly expansion, 4 counts lower chest, 2 counts upper chest), then exhale for 12 counts (4 counts each for upper chest, lower chest, and belly). Don’t worry if 12 counts feels challenging – start with whatever feels manageable and work your way up. The beautiful thing about breathwork is that every small step matters more than perfect execution. You’re training your body to breathe with intention and ease, creating a foundation for both relaxation and vitality.
